Highly recommended

I’ve heard about double cleansing with oil cleansers but I always assumed it wasn’t really for me since I’m not a makeup wearer. Boy was I wrong. I’m so glad I decided to try this oil cleanser. I’ve had this one area of textured skin on one of my cheeks for what feels like forever and since starting this oil cleanser, that textured skin has started minimizing as well as becoming smoother. My skin overall feels much softer and moisturized. It applies as an oil and then once you start rubbing it in with a little water, it becomes a milky-like creamy texture. Washing it off is also easy enough. It’s hard to tell if I wash all of it off but since I’m double cleansing anyway, that part doesn’t make a difference to me.Overall, I’d highly recommend trying this oil cleanser.

Odd Scent and Slightly Irritating

I am newly pregnant and sensitive to scents at this time. I really dislike the scent of this. It smells like barbie plastic thats been sitting outside in the sun. That said, I was amazed at how the oil turned into a lather when washing my face. My face feels notably softer but slightly irritated. I have somewhat sensitive skin and my skin feels drier after washing. I dont think this is for me but to each their own.

White labeled cleanser, it's fine

This is a pretty average oil cleanser, white labeled from a manufacturer in China, Guangzhou Chingo Cosmetic Co.,Ltd. They seem to be a well-established and reputable white labeler with licensed facilities around the world, and they do offer custom formulations, but I'm not convinced that ordering an oil cleanser from Wren, a newly-established LLC based in GA and run by a woman whose other line of work seems to be long term care facilities or something along those lines, is going to get you anything truly special. The ingredients include a variety of oils, including sunflower and macadamia nut (so be careful if you have a nut allergy) as well as centella asiatica and heartleaf. INCIDecoder says it's all good stuff, although it does indicate that some of the oils aren't great for acne-prone skin. I dunno if that stands in cleanser format where you're washing it off instead of letting it absorb, but I figured it bears mentioning. There are no instructions on the bottle and I threw out the box so not sure if there were any there, but I used it as I use most oil cleansers: I massaged it onto dry skin, added a small amount of water and massaged further, which creates a slight lather, then rinsed.Oil cleansers are typically used in a double cleansing situation, where you cleanse with oil first and then a cream or gel cleanser. I followed this up with my usual Marini BioGlycolic cleanser, which does typically sting a bit because of the glycolic acid, but it burned more than usual after this cleanser. Not sure if this Wren cleanser caused that or if it was just coincidental, but there was no visible irritation so not a huge deal, in my opinion.Basically, I'm not sure why you would choose a white labeled brand over anything else; the price isn't bad (currently $15.99) but the packaging doesn't indicate where it was manufactured, just that it's distributed by an LLC in GA. Since Chingo has facilities on several continents, I can't begin to guess where this one was made, but I will reiterate they do seem to be a large, reputable white labeler, not a fly-by-night situation. Wren, on the other hand, has no internet presence that I can find, the CEO doesn't seem to want her name to be easily linked to the brand (which I always find to be a little sus), and the LLC is registered to rental office space. That in and of itself isn't inherently suspicious because small business owners often don't want their registrations linked back to their home address, but the fact that I had to look up the LLC with the George Secretary of State to find out who exactly was behind it makes me a little uncomfy. Usually, I feel like if a new-to-market brand is making a serious effort to be a real brand, the people behind it will proudly declare their association with their company instead of trying to obfuscate it. Just my two cents.

Dissolves make up soft skin

This deep cleaning oil helps to dissolve your makeup. That does leave your skin soft and it seems of good quality. I just I'm not a real big fan of the scent. It has a very traditional oil smell. I think this would be great if it had a light light soft scent. This is a decent value for your money

Unscented/cleans and washes off well

Received this Wren cleansing oil and I love it right away.I'm a big fan of cleansing oils but I don't like when they feel oily or are hard to wash off. This cleanser looks like jojoba oil. Its bright and liquidity but once you dispense a couple pumps and add water, it turns into a white foam like consistency. Its literally perfect because its gentle but cleans very well. For $15.99 its an excellent price for value.Highly recommend.Bonus: unscented/ generous size.

Magic in a Bottle for Makeup Lovers!

I didn’t think I’d ever love a cleanser more than my tried and true favorite, but this Wren Heartleaf Deep Cleansing Oil completely impressed me! It melts off even my waterproof, stage-quality makeup with zero effort. It comes out as a thick oil but emulsifies beautifully with water, rinsing away clean. I have NEVER had a makeup remover take off everything so easily, when I followed up with my usual facial towelette, there was hardly anything left to wipe off! After rinsing, my skin felt totally clean but not dry or tight, just soft and balanced. There’s no harsh scent... just a light, natural smell that reminds me of good olive oil. This cleanser is pure magic and has officially replaced my old favorite.

Good substitute for more expensive brand sold only at salons.

I am very happy with this cleansing oil. I had been using a different more expensive brand that I could only purchase at my aesthetician's at the salon. I was getting tired of making the trip out just for cleanser and spending so much money, so I came to Amazon to look for something comparable. This definitely fits the bill. It is a thick, luxurious feeling face oil that does a magnificent job removing my makeup and cleansing my menopausal skin without drying or damaging my skin barrier. A little bit goes a long way, which is why I am so grateful this brand includes the pump. One pump will do your whole face without waste, making the bottle last longer. I will warn that it does sting terribly and cause irritation if even a little bit gets in your eyes, so use caution. Though there is a very subtle scent, I don't find it to be strong or unpleasant, or even very fragrant at all. It has been very effective for my needs, and I am happy to make the switch.

Wren is a win for sensitive skin!

As someone with highly sensitive, reactive skin I approve this product and recommend it! When I hit my 40s, my skin did a complete 180. Products that I normally use suddenly made me break out. I tried everything under the sun from high-end to drugstore products. My skin was so reactive that I had to go to the dermatologist and get a steroid to calm down after trying a product that did not agree with it.Wren heartleaf deep cleansing oil is now my go to. It removes everything, including stubborn eye makeup. It leaves my skin feeling soft and never tight or stripped. I have not had a single reaction to this product. If you have sensitive skin like me, please do yourself a favor and give this one a try!

Easy Makeup Removal

Product received as expected matching images and description. I have sensitive skin and this product did not cause any reaction or dryness. It is a thick-ish oil, which I followed directions for use. What I found is that my makeup would absorb it in the process of removing the makeup, which I would have to use a hint more to feel it was covering my entire face. Once it is on you are supposed to add just a hint of water to emulsify and it will work around more and smoother. What I found worked best for me was using a couple drops of warm to hot water with the oil before putting on my face. The warmth to the oil would thin it a hint and allow me to use less product to remove my makeup. It seemed to go around easier before being absorbed. It absolutely removed my makeup, including waterproof makeup, with minimal effort. It washed off easily and removed the vast majority of my makeup. On tired nights that I didn't want to use my cleaner after I felt like all the oil was off and my face was clean of makeup. Other nights I would use my cleaner after and didn't see much makeup residue. In either use my skin was smooth and soft, it didn't dry my skin out. Overall, the product goes a long way in removal, so the bottle will last a bit. It is a good quality product and great value. Would recommend as a good oil makeup remover.

Great oil cleanser for blemish-prone skin

Works great as deep cleanser to remove oil and makeup. A little goes a long way and skin feels clean without stripping. Follow up with a regular cleanser and you've got a nice cleansing routine. Leaves skin with a healthy glow and does not irritate or cause clogged pores. In fact, it works great for blemish-prone skin to unclog pores. Great ingredients to help tone and calm skin.

Great ingredients, lathers beautifully

Upon opening this cleansing oil I noticed the packaging that explains in detail the desired effects of using this cleansing oil. Not only does it explain it well, it also lists all the ingredients, which are very clean natural oils. After rubbing two pumps of oil into my hands and rubbing them into my skin i noticed how thick and sudsy the oil became. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this cleansing oil lathered into my skin. The smell of this oil is not heavily perfumed, it also doesn't smell very great either in my opinion, but not bad to the point of not being a good cleanser to use. I love the clean ingredients and how well this cleansing oil works on my skin, so having a more earthy scent is nothing I can't look past. Definitely worth getting!
